WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT SEVEN-DAY PERIOD VALID 12TH TO 18THMARCH, 2019

A few parts of the country particularly in the Lake Victoria Basin, Highlands West of the Rift Valley, Central and South Rift Valley and the Central Highlands received rainfall.However, a comparison between the previous seven days (25^th February to 3^rd March, 2019) with the period under review (4^th to 10^thMarch, 2019) indicatesa slight increase in rainfall amounts over few parts.

Kisii Meteorological Station recorded the highest seven-day total rainfall of101.0mm. Other stations that recorded significant seven-day totals include KakamegaMeteorological Station(51.8mm), KitaleMeteorological Station(31.8mm), Nyamira District Office in Nyamira County (30.4mm), Mukakula Farm in Bungoma County(28.0mm), Kapenguria Rainfall Station in West Pokot County (27.3mm), Suba Meteorological Station (20.8mm) and Busia Ministry of Water Offices(20.0mm)as depicted in Figures 1 and 2.
