
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT SEVEN-DAY PERIOD VALID 22ND TO 28TH JANUARY, 2019
Hot and dry weather conditions were experienced over several parts of the country. However, rainfall was recorded over few areas in the South Eastern Lowlands and Highlands West and East of the Rift Valley as depicted in Figures 1 and 2. A comparison between the previous seven days (7th to 13th January, 2019) with the period under review (14th to 20th January, 2019) indicates an increase in rainfall amounts over few parts of the country.
During the period under review, Kisumu Meteorological Station recorded the highest seven-day total rainfall of 69.5mm. Other stations that recorded rainfall include Matungu Rainfall Station in Kakamega County (55.1mm), Suba Meteorological Station (50.0mm), Mukakula Rainfall Station in Bungoma County (48.2mm), Kaimosi Tea Factory Rainfall Station in Vihiga County (35.8mm), Voi Meteorological Station (32.6mm), Butere Rainfall Station in Kakamega County (31.5mm) and Bungoma Water Supply Rainfall Station in Bungoma County (25.4mm) as depicted in Figure 2……..Read more
